Postgreen is a small development company focusing on “green” and modern development in the infill lots of Philadephia’s urban neighborhoods. We measure the success of each project using the triple-bottom-line (people, planet & profit) approach to ensure that we are providing value to everyone who comes in contact with our finished product.

You will see postgreen handle both residential and mixed-use projects as well as a unique “stock postgreen home” process that allows the average homebuyer to easily handle the process of having their own modern and green home built for them from the ground up at a value that can not be touched by the average new construction unit on the market. this blog

This blog has been through many iterations in my head. At one time it was going to be a blog simply to update the progress on postgreen projects only. The next week it was going to be a practical engineer’s point of view on environmental issues and the following week it was going to be an update on anything green or modern in the Philadelphia/Deleware Valley area.

In the end I decided to make this blog a journal of one couple’s quest to start a “green” small business while also greening their eveyday lives. This includes reporting on all of the personal learning and interests that accompany this growth along with the continual transformation of my family’s lives into a more environmental, healthy, modern and minimalist lifestyle. There will be posts on small business/entrepreneurship, marketing, modern design, modern architecture, local and national green & modern development, sustainable materials and building practices and of course, all things green.

Chad Ludeman (President)

Philadelphia, PA - My name is Chad Ludeman and I am an entrepreneur, real estate developer and REALTOR. I live in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia just north of center city with my lovely wife Courtney and our cat, Audrey Hepburn.

My education and background is in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering. I received a BS in Indsutrial Management from Grove City College in 2000 and began working as a Manufacturing Engineer at Metrologic Instruments in South Jersey. Over the past 7 years I have held jobs at Metrologic in Engineering, Management, Purchasing, Production Control/Scheduling and Marketing in an effort to gain a variety of business experience in preperation for starting my own company.

Postgreen is a business model that I can put my full effort behind after years of throwing various business ideas against the wall to see what stuck. It’s a model that if successful, will not only benefit myself, but all those that come into contact with the fruits of postgreen’s work. It’s also beneficial to the environment which is nice.

Nic Darling (Master of Marketing & PR)

In addition to Nic’s duties at Postgreen he is also the Marketing Guy for Universe Point, the monitored backup company. Nic is also the author of the Marketing Neophyte and Howie’s Backup Blog. Nic joined Postgreen in June of 2008 but was gracious enough to volunteer a lot of his time for assisting with the startup of Postgreen as well as some posting on our postgreen blog here covering interesting and unique topics in the world of sustainability.
